Cycle 9

We are now 6 days into our 9th cycle.  Which means I have began "prepping" for ovulation.  There are many natural things you can do to make your body environment a little better for possible conception.  Again, I am not a doctor, so I give no medical advice on these products.  These are the things I do because I believe they can't hurt at least!

Starting from the first day of my period until ovulation I drink pomegranate juice which I've been told helps with your uterus lining.

Also, I start drinking Green Tea from the first day of my cycle until ovulation.

Of course, I take a prenatal vitamin every day and try to drink a lot of water.  Now I'm just praying I don't ovulate late this month like last since I'll be out of state on business right around that time!

Wednesday is the day E has his sperm analysis.  I'm excited and nervous!  I'll update afterwards to let you know what his thoughts on it were.

Welcome to our life!

Well here goes nothing.  My husband and I, let's call him E, have decided to start our family.  This was not a decision we thought we'd make until much later in life, but here we are!  Of course we were that couple that thought as soon as the birth control stopped we would be pregnant right away.  Unfortunately, that is not the way it works out for everyone.  So as of today we are at the end of our 8th cycle trying, month 10.  Each month gets a little harder to take.  Why isn't it happening?  Is there something wrong?   Are we ever going to be parents?  Those are all questions that I ask myself daily.

So far I have had my progesterone and thyroid checked.  Both are in great shape!  Now we are slowly moving forward with more testing to put the puzzle pieces together.  Honestly, testing is not something that needs to be done at your 8th cycle of trying or at 10 months.  Most couples wait until after their year mark, but I believe that what you do for your fertility is a personal decision.  I believe you should speak with your partner and doctor to see when is the right time for you and we have decided that time is now.  We will not be doing any treatment now, but we want to see if there is anything we need to be aware of with our health since our actual year of trying will be approaching soon.

I hope to keep this blog updated with our journey in hopes of one day looking back on a journey to meet our baby.
